Thanks....and now, some snark, as promised.

Thanks to those who wrote expressing sympathy at the loss of Guido. We are still missing him every day, but are comforted by knowing he is chasing the dogs who are chasing tennis balls at the Rainbow Bridge. Someday, we will be together again.

Time for a serving of fresh snark. It is my humble opinion that the "breakout events" to be held in conjunction with the Tonner Convention are nothing short of nauseating, especially Tyler's wedding. I asked Leo if he'd like to attend, and he mentioned something about finding a quiet corner there in which to vomit...but at $165 a person, it would be quite a pricey corner. This seems like a misguided attempt by the Tonner Co. to not only squeeze a few more bucks out of the convention attendees, but also to try to revive the flagging interest in Tyler and friends. I predict that quite of few of the limited dolls will be sold on eBay or privately posthaste after the event by folks who don't want yet another 16" fashion doll added to their Tonner collection.

But, I could be wrong. What do you think?

I think think think :) it's kind of silly, too and don't understand all the hoopla.
In My Opinion, they'll be divorced in six months anyway! You heard that prediction here first. I just hope there are no vinyl children who will be hurt in the split!

I prefer my dolls to just live in sin. Men/women/boys/girls/fairies/pixies/vampires/animals/Tinies/Minis/Biggies - all in one sinful, unmarried, drunken happy bunch.

But that's just me and mine.

Perhaps, Leo, a corner just outside the venue would be less expensive?

I could be wrong, but isn't it considered tacky to charge people to attend a wedding?

Hmm...200 wedding-goers (kind of like "concert-goer" -- you pay to get in) x $165 = SHOCK!!!

Raking in thirty-three-thousand dollars to stage a "wedding" of inanimate objects.

Staged by a man who can't legally wed his own partner. Is this ironic, or just hypocritical?

I like doll weddings, and we made a ceremony for our main BJDs, Yrdin and Luna, a year ago... but I think that, as in real life, that's something to keep private and invite only your friends... not a show you must pay for attend... Unless, of course, that's the gift the newlyweds expect from you, and the lunch after the wedding is worth the amount of money spent, LOL!

Anyway, as a wedding fan, I hope to see pics of that wedding so I can criticise the bride's gown!!!
